Facilitator: Jan Taylor, Instructor of English Composition at Maryville College
Summary: Students will respond briefly to three prompts about membership in various types of communities. By doing so, they’ll discover more about what it means to be in community with others as well as how communities can divide and unite people.
Jan Tayloris part of the Maryville College Division of Languages and Literature. She earned a B.S. in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College in Albany, NY, then completed a Master of Arts in Higher Education at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, including work in Developmental Studies and Media Literacy. Along the way, she also completed a technical certificate in Web Page Authoring from Nashville State Community College. Jan is currently enrolled at Goddard College in Plainfield, VT, finishing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
