Facilitators: Deb Howard, Sherry Reiter and Amanda Lacson,

Summary: : At the moment, the people we expect to market to are those in the healing profession (courtesy of Sherry) and mixed-race individuals, couples, and families (courtesy of my involvement with a nonprofit group called Swirl), though the event will be open to all. As such, we discussed doing several prompts on the themes of identity and the threads that pull us together in sub-communities and communities at large.
Deb Howard is a change catalyst, writer, coach and educator who evokes insight, clarity and new perspectives to energize, empower and inspire individuals, teams and organizations. She has over ten years experience helping leaders, teams, and organizations with issues of professional and personal development, leadership, team-building, conflict management, diversity, strategic planning and overall organization development.
Sherry Reiter, Ph.D. is founder of the Creative Righting Center, a poetry therapy pioneer, drama therapist, and writer as well as a creative arts therapist, licensed clinical social worker, Poetry Therapist/ Mentor-Supervisor (PTR/MS). She is co-author of Twice Chai: A Jewish Road to Recovery, and author of Writing Away the Demons; Stories of Creative Coping Through Transformative Writing (North Star Press, 2009).
Amanda Lacson has a MA in Transformative Language Arts, specializing in mythology. She is a writer and scholar, always fascinated with the space between: moments that dissolve boundaries of individual selves; intersections of foods, traditions, and values that create a culture; and how explorations of my body-voice-self can have an impact on the world beyond.
